HISTORY will be made tonight when the title holders of Miss World, Miss Universe and Miss Supranational attend the Miss South Africa 2021 finale at the same time.

Miss World Toni-ann Singh of Jamaica will join Miss Supranational Chanique Rabe of Namibia and Miss Universe Andrea Meza of Mexico, when Miss SA is crowned at the Grand Arena, Grandwest in Cape Town.

Miss South Africa Organisation chief executive, Stephanie Weil, said they were determined to show the world that the pageant embraced the spirit of Ubuntu.

The three beauties would meet the reigning Miss South Africa Shudufhadzo Musida – who will be competing on the Miss World stage in November – and witness who will inherit her mantle, she said.

“The world is opening up to local and international tourists. South Africa is open for business again and we are delighted to be able to show its beauty to an international audience.”

This year’s Miss South Africa will be a show to remember. The hosts are two of South Africa’s best-loved television personalities, Anele Mdoda and Nico Panagio, while Miss Universe title holders, 2018 winner Catriona Gray and her 2019 successor, South Africa’s Zozibini Tunzi, will be backstage presenters.

The all-women selection panel line-up includes respected and influential personalities with Meza, Miss Universe 2015, TV personality, model and actress Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, former Miss SA title holders Basetsana Kumalo (1994) and Tamaryn Green (2018), actress Shannon Esra (The Queen), Vice-chancellor of the University of Cape Town Mamokgethi Phakeng, and radio and TV presenter Dineo Ranaka.

The Ndlovu Youth Choir, Ntokozo

Mbambo and singer, record producer and Osama hitmaker, Zakes Bantwini will share the stage.

The top 10 competing for the crown are Bianca Bezuidenhout, Catherine Groenewald, Cheneil Hartzenberg, Jeanni Mulder, Kaylan Matthews, Kgothatso Dithebe, Lalela Mswane, Moratwe Masima, Tiffany Francis and Zimi Mabunzi.

The Miss SA 2021 winner is set to take home a package of prizes and sponsorships worth more than R4 million when she takes the crown from reigning Miss South Africa Shudufhadzo Musida.

The new queen will receive R1 million in cash, the use of a fully-furnished apartment at the luxurious Central Square in Sandton and a Mercedes-benz C-class Sedan for the year of her reign. The runners-up will each receive R175 000. The top three will represent South Africa at Miss World, Miss Universe and Miss Supranational.
