A NEW television show hosted by the vibrant Moonchild Sanelly is coming to screens today, where the singer zooms in on the lives of South Africa’s most prolific artists and entertainers.

The popular singer has gained a reputation as one of South Africa’s most unusual performers and she brings her wit and no-holds barred attitude to Madness Method.

Coming to DSTV’S BET Africa channel from today at 9.30pm, the programme peels off the layers of artists and entertainers to get to the madness that drives creatives who see the world differently.

The sharp-witted Moonchild will unpack the core of what makes the artist successful, while keeping them on their toes. She will engage in candid interviews with 10 creatives over a glass of Scottish Leader whisky.

Director of the show, Jon Savage, said: “Moonchild was born to host this show, and she’s supported by a special deck of cards to create a new Madness Method card game that takes the conversation into unknown territory, a masked mixologist, a set made out of a suitcase and a bottle of Scottish Leader.”

Over 10 episodes, guests including fresh faces and veterans will address vital topics in society including patriarchy, black love, gender identities and binary, and navigating the entertainment industry in a Covid-19 world.

The project was shot on locations around Johannebsurg landmarks such as the iconic Eyethu Theatre in Soweto, the Soweto Towers, the Market Theatre, Katy’s Palace in Sandton and the Newtown Music Factory.

“Madness Method

is not only one of the coolest projects I’ve been involved with, it’s one of the coolest shows you will see on TV this year,” Savage says. |
